Commitment and standard
We aim to make the calculators, guides and legal pages usable with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification and reduced-motion settings. Our target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We do not claim perfect accessibility or full conformance.
What is implemented
- Skip-to-content link on every page
- Keyboard operation of all controls with visible focus indicators
- Semantic HTML landmarks and heading order
- Labels and instructions on every form field, with errors announced as text and not signalled by colour alone
- Contrast and text-resizing support, and respect for the reduced-motion system setting
- Accessible dialogs with focus trapping and escape-to-close
- Tables with header cells and captions
- Text alternatives for charts, with the underlying figures also available as text or a downloadable table
- Alt text on images
- Touch targets sized for finger use on mobile
Known limitations
- Large comparison tables and sensitivity matrices require horizontal scrolling on small screens.
- Interactive charts convey trends visually; the underlying figures are provided as text, but fine-grained hover detail is not fully equivalent.
- Printed and downloaded reports are not yet tagged as fully accessible PDFs.
- Third-party content we link to is outside our control.
